Dr. Hengwei Liu is Chief Technology Officer and Head of Green Hydrogen at Wison Engineering, a leading EPC contractor in energy and chemicals. He drives the company’s technology strategy and innovation in Power-to-X (P2X), Biomass-to-X (B2X), and Carbon Capture and Utilization (CCU), advancing sustainable energy solutions.
With over 20 years of experience across the energy and utilities sectors, Dr. Liu has held strategic leadership roles, including Chief Strategy Officer and Executive Vice President at ENGIE China. His career spans oil & gas, power, and green energy, with international experience in China, Europe, Saudi Arabia, and the United States.
A recognized advocate for sustainability, he speaks globally on zero-carbon transitions and ESG investment, and is co-founder and board member of the MNC Forum for Carbon Neutrality (MNC50).
Dr. Liu holds a PhD in Thermal Engineering, an Executive MBA from the Kellogg-HKUST program, and has been a research fellow at Harvard Kennedy School, Tsinghua University, The Fletcher School at Tufts, and KAPSARC.
