The United Nations Global Leadership & ESG Programme (UNGLEP) and UNGP for SDGs (UNGP) have officially signed a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance youth job placement, coordinate activities within UN venues, and leverage complementary resources.

Under the agreement, UNGP-affiliated organizations will be encouraged to offer internship and entry-level opportunities to qualified participants of UNGLEP's Global Youth Sustainable Career Advancement Initiative (GYSCA). A dedicated UNGLEP–UNGP Internship Gateway will be established to connect youth with SDG-focused roles across UN agencies, NGOs, and private sector partners.

The partnership also paves the way for joint youth events at major UN venues — including Geneva, New York, Bangkok, Nairobi, and Tokyo — such as career fairs, innovation bootcamps, and high-level dialogues alongside UN conferences like the High-level Political Forum and COP sessions.

Both organizations will exchange knowledge, share networks, and co-brand activities while bearing their own costs unless otherwise agreed in separate implementing agreements.

“This MoU turns shared goals into shared action — creating real, visible pathways for young people to step into the UN and SDG ecosystem. We hope that, empowered by UNGLEP’s global AI competency training and expertise in ESG & SDGs, young people will be inspired to become active participants, contributors and leaders in future global governance!
