On January 3, 2025, the "Building the Belt and Road Talent Chain and Cultivating Global Business Talents" Forum was successfully held at the Yiwu Municipal Party School. The forum was hosted by the School of Business of Renmin University of China, organized by the School of Business Executive Education Center, and co-organized by the China Association of Small and Medium-sized Commercial Enterprises. It focused on important topics such as business talent training and cooperation under the background of the "Belt and Road". Luo Ying, Chairman of the Management Committee of the United Nations Global Leadership and ESG Center, was invited to attend and made suggestions with other guests to promote the development of economy, trade and talents along the "Belt and Road".

Dr. Luo Xiang gave a keynote speech on "The Strategic Urgency and Smart Strategy of ESG Integration in the Global Business Development of Chinese Enterprises". He said that the six agile strategies promote the global ESG strategic escort of Chinese enterprises. Chinese enterprises need to reconstruct transparent corporate governance, focus on key issues of stakeholders, and reshape the core competitiveness based on ESG in the three core areas of supply chain management, labor rights protection and green carbon reduction, and are committed to building the two underlying logics of risk control and value discovery on a global scale.

This ESG integration strategy can not only alleviate the energy shortage in the target countries and regions and improve the efficiency of clean energy utilization, but also strengthen environmental and social risk management and promote the improvement of corporate sustainable development capabilities. At the same time, Chinese companies should also actively contact international organizations such as the United Nations to strengthen ESG international cooperation and jointly promote the formulation of globally accepted ESG standards and policies. In the future, Chinese companies should continue to uphold the ESG concept, deepen international cooperation, promote the global sustainable development process, and contribute to the realization of a more prosperous, green and fair world.

In this forum, Luo Xiang also participated in the roundtable dialogue on "jointly building the Belt and Road and cultivating global business talents". During the dialogue session, Luo Xiang shared valuable views and experiences with other guests on topics such as corporate advantages and innovative practices, corporate governance and talent system construction, and the coexistence and prosperity of local business environment and private economy. He pointed out that the application of ESG concepts in corporate governance can help companies establish a good brand image in the process of internationalization, attract more international talents, and enhance the competitiveness and sustainable development capabilities of companies.

The successful holding of this forum has provided a platform for communication and cooperation for industry professionals, and further promoted talent training and trade cooperation under the background of the "Belt and Road". Luo Xiang's speech and views at the forum provided important ideas for how Chinese companies can integrate ESG strategies in the process of global business development, and also contributed wisdom to the "Belt and Road" construction to a new level.
