UNGLEP – MNC SDGs/ESG Global Youth Sustainable Career Advancement Initiative

UNGLEP – MNC SDGs/ESG Global Youth Sustainable Career Advancement Initiative

At the launch of the “2030 Youth Strategy,” United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres emphasized that youth are a tremendous source of innovation, ideas, and solutions, driving the transformations needed in technology, climate action, and the building of inclusive and just societies. He further urged governments and industries to provide high‑quality education, training, and skills for young people while lowering barriers to entering the job market.

By leveraging the global resources and influence of the United Nations, as well as the worldwide networks and corporate‑social‑responsibility capacities of multinational and listed companies, we are building a capacity‑building platform that offers global internships and professional training to university students and young professionals. The programme empowers youth to master systematic, forward‑looking competencies in SDG‑ and ESG‑related fields, preparing the next generation of contributors and leaders for global sustainable development through hands‑on enterprise engagement.

·         Initiative & Implementation
Launched by the United Nations Global Leadership and ESG Programme (UNGLEP), with programme execution led by UNGLEP and the Social Impact Investment Foundation (SIIF).

·         Programme Locations

·         Eligibility
Open to university students and youth up to age 30 worldwide, irrespective of academic discipline or nationality.

·         Participating Enterprises

·         Programme Mission
To bring together multinational corporations, listed companies, and industry leaders worldwide in order to create a professional‑development platform for youth committed to global sustainable development goals, collectively advancing the ethos of “Business for Good.”

1.    Through rigorous ESG‑focused training, we cultivate young talent who are not only technically proficient but also deeply committed to environmental stewardship, social equity, and sound corporate governance—equipped with systems thinking, ethical integrity, and an altruistic mindset.

2.    We provide targeted capacity‑building for enterprises. Beyond training ESG specialists, we develop practitioners capable of integrating purpose‑driven thinking into core strategy, product design, supply‑chain management, and governance systems.

3.    In an era of growing tension between globalization and localization, the programme fosters a transnational, cross‑cultural community of future‑ready talent.

·         Certification & Career Advantages
Certified participants are enrolled in the UNGLEP‑MNC Global Youth Talent Pool and may be recommended by UNGLEP to partner multinational corporations, listed companies, and leading unicorns for global internships or pre‑employment training.

1.    Enhanced Employability – Gain practical, globally relevant SDG/ESG competencies and systemic problem‑solving skills through real‑world projects.

2.    Applied Learning – Translate theory into practice by working on actual corporate challenges related to sustainability.

3.    Measurable Impact – Contribute directly to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) outcomes while supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
